Area 2 -- Metallic Center
Using one strand of Color E, place four diagonal gobelin stitches
so that they all share in the center hole. Then, wrap the base
like a whipped spider stitch for three revolutions. When wrapping
a whipped spider bring your needle to the surface of the canvas
very near the center of the spider. Slide under the first diagonal
gobelin and wrap around it and proceed to the next working in
a circular fashion around the center hole till you have wrapped
each diagonal gobelin three times.
