Area 1 -- Large Center CrossUsing three strands of Color A, stitch each arm of this large cross in fern stitch variation. You can control the variegation and match up all four arms of this cross because Waterlillies is a 12-stranded silk. Make sure you begin at the same spot on the silk for each arm and you can control the variegation. Carefully follow the numbering on the chart. Notice that the last two stitches for each arm are diagonal gobelins rather than fern stitches.
