The larger version of this design can be used as a wedding ring pillow and, later, as a boudoir pillow. The small version, finished as ornaments or sachets, would be appropriate as bridesmaids' gifts or as a remembrance for the bride and groom's first Christmas together. On both projects a charm can be substituted for the rose motif in the center.
Candlelight instead of the Ice Waterlilies and attaching a charm instead of stitching the rose in the center.

Pillow 1. With two plies of Peacock Waterlilies, work all of the backstitches which form the blocks. At the same time, fill in the diamond shapes formed by the intersection of blocks with double straight cross (see Diagram 2).
SPECIAL NOTES Note that some of the slanted backstitches are oblique. Instead of working these backstitches like a half cross, they are worked over 2x1 stitches. See Diagram 1.
SPECIAL NOTES One square on the chart is the equivalent of one cross stitch over two threads. The backstitches are worked with one ply of Waterlilies over one thread. Note that some of the slanted backstitches are oblique. Instead of working these backstitches like a half cross or continental stitch, they are worked over 2x1 stitches. See Diagram 1. Ornament 1. With one ply of Peacock Waterlilies, work all of the backstitches
which form the blocks. At the same time, fill in the diamond
