18" square 20-count Wichelt® fabric, cream
4 skeins Caron Collection Waterlilies, 018 peacock
One skein Caron Collection Watercolours, 079 cantaloupe

Stitching:
1. Measure to locate center of fabric. Following arrows, draw intersecting lines across chart to locate center. Matching centers of chart and fabric, work design. The chart is a quarter-pattern. Work outer border of first square and rotate chart 90· to complete outer border of each remaining square. Do not rotate flower design in centers. Refer to photo for guidance. Unless otherwise noted, use one strand of thread.
2. Work each row of border in Scotch stitch using four strands peacock or one strand gold.
3. Work flower motifs in each corner completing counted stitches first and then lazy daisy stitches. Work counted stitches of center flower first, then work vertical row of chain stitches using two strands light green. Backstitch each chain of stem in peacock. Work remaining embroidered stitches on center flower. Work centers of smaller flowers in lazy daisy using cantaloupe. Work petals in chain using pearl. Work French knots and lazy daisies using 2 strands peacock.
