Design Version 2

MATERIALS
 - #18 fabric or canvas 1-2" larger all around than desired design size

- #22 tapestry needle

- 14 new colors of Watercolours

 or
 - #28 evenweave fabric 1-2" larger all around than desired design size

- #24 tapestry needle

- 14 new colors of Wildflowers

Each symbol on the charts represents one of the 14 new colors of Watercolours or Wildflowers introduced in January, 2006. Start in the center and work out toward the edges. If desired, start with color #219 and work in numerical sequence, or select your own colors as you proceed.

Treat each square on the charts as either one thread of the canvas or fabric, or as 4 threads of the ground fabric..

You may stitch the designs in either needlepoint or cross stitch, but it will be far more fun if you select decorative stitches instead. There are lots of options and you may use something as simple as Satin Stitch, Mosaic Stitch, or Stem Stitch or you may opt for more elaborate stitches such as Smyrna Cross, Eyelets, braided or plaited stitches or complex combination stitches.

Work fewer rows to create jewelry such as pins and earrings.

Design Version I

If one square equals one thread, design size (30x30) will be approximately 1.75" on #18 or 1" square on #28

If one square equals four threads (60x60), design size will be about 3.25" on #18 or 2" square on #28

Design Version 2

If one square equals one thread, design size (36x36) will be 2" square on #18 or 1.4" square on #28

If one square equals four threads (72x72), design size will be 4" square on #18 or about 2.5" square on #28
