With the canvas mounted on mini stretcher bars, stitch the
outlined areas as indicated with 6 ply white floss. Lay the stitches
with a laying tool.
Now, lay the stitched canvas over paper towels, and thoroughly
wet the threads with water and a cosmetic sponge. Mix some textile
medium into the colors you have chosen, and apply watered down
paint with a brush onto the wet threads. The colors should run
and blend into the threads and onto the canvas background. After
you are satisfied with the painting, dry the canvas either in
the sun or with a hair dryer.
